Pricelists not distributed to customers

    Date – September 12, 2016
Source of issue –Customer - Marine Trade Supplies
    Description –

Marine Trade Supplies rang regarding invoice 38403. John Lance (owner) said that prices on invoice did not match his pricelist.
BL checked invoice v pricelist and there were a number of differences, some anodes had gone up and others had gone down in price. The net difference was $27.50 ($2,900 +gst job).

Immediate action –Re-issue invoice according to pricelist prices.
Root cause –We did not inform MTS of price changes.
    Corrective action –

DK is working on a Mailchimp email-out that will be sent to all A and some B customers when there is a change to the pricelist.
13SEP17: DK has not put together a Mailchimp email out for pricelists. We have put purchasing terms on pricelists clearly stating that prices are subject to change. Over the past 12 months we have issued pricelists at more regular intervals. We will continue with that strategy. We have not received further complaints over that time.

  1. 30JAN17: Mailchimp email-out not set up yet, but BL emailed current pricelist to key customers (inc Marine Trade Supplies) on the 12DEC16.

  2. 21JUL17: Mailchimp not set-up. Emailing regular Pricelists.
Pricelists are issued with a note indicating that the website should be checked for current prices. Also, quotes are issued with a validity period. This appears to have reduced the number of complaints.
Will leave it until SEP17 before deciding on course of action.
