Source of issue –Svitzer - Cairns anode order 46506 was not delivered on time
Description –
Svitzer - Carns requested location of their order on Wed 22MAY19. It was dispatched on the 15th of May and was not delivered until the 25th of May. 10 days is too long for our customers, we would expect 3 days. Eddie Price required the anodes urgently.
Immediate action –MS chased up loation with Carters. They did not appear to be too responsive to the reqest.
Root cause –? No answer given by Carters.
Corrective action –
1. In future quote based on TNT Road Express only.
2. Offer 2 options in the quote. TNT Road Express, slightly more expensive, but quicker delivery. Carters, cheaper, but may take up to 10 days.
Verification –We have found more reliable freight companies, so use Carters far less frequently, mainly only for Orrcon Bins.
