Description –
Brass Plug BP11 were not machined according to the most current drawing.
26FEB LS emailed:
1. 504pcs of BP11 (CD2449 Rev 4) CAA PO 21840 have been supplied against CD2449 Rev 3 and are non conforming product. Of the 504pcs we have 245pcs left in stock. I will need these reworked/remade please to CD2449 Rev 4.
a. Can you please advise if you are happy for CAA to pack and return these 245pcs for rework/remake to CD2449 Rev 4.
2. 250pcs of BP11 SMA (CD4199 Rev 1) CAA PO 21839 will be accepted as non-conforming stock as we are confident that it will not pose any issues to our customer (Steyr Motors Australia)
Requested actions:
A. Please carry out internal investigations to determine how this non-conformance has occurred and report back to CAA detailing what measures have been put in place to mitigate this issue from any future reoccurrence.
B. Please investigate and determine if the CD2449 Rev 3 – IFS CNC program is still in existence. If yes, please delete or archive permanently to ensure that it cannot be called upon for future orders.

Corrective action –
02APR25:
1. IFS GM has advised that CAA DRG CD2449 Rev 4 has dimensional discrepancies.
a. Resolution – CAA to review, amend and forward to IFS for review & approval
2. IFS GM acknowledged that an IFS employee had changed program parameters that led to dimensional non conformance
3. CAA to send 245pcs of quarantined BP11 to have laser etching faced off. This will become stock of CDZ9-BP11SMA (Steyr Motors stock)
a. IFS to charge CAA for facing off laser etching
4. IFS to remake from scratch 245pcs of BP11 to CD2449 Rev 4 with dimensional correction.
a. New stock issued at nil chargeFor more detail refer to LS email to IFS dated 26FEB25.
Verification –18AUG25: Still waiting for replacement stock to arrive and check dimensions
