Description –
CAA shipped a 1925kg pallet (wooden rails) to Malaga, WA. Our customer informed us that the strapping had broken, losing one of the rails. The anode were placed on a chep pallet, but CCE had to use a wooden block to be able to place the anodes on the floor.
Immediate action –let stores know
Root cause –probably freight company being rough with the pallet
Corrective action –
Training: Ask stores to ensure heavy leads have packed using correct strapping, and there are no sharp edges for strapping to be cut in transit.
