Source of issue –Customer - Diecon Marine/Redback Radiators
Description –
Travis Blair informed us that 25mm dia extruded Zinc rod, part no. CDZ5-1.00-63E (PO 553, inv 48571) showing cracking and delamination when they were machined.It occured to 2 small pieces.
Immediate action –LS immediately apologised, and offered to replace the faulty goods. BL later spoke to Travis who indicated that they did not want replacements as it was only 2 small pieces, but he thought he better let us know, to avoid/reduce future occurrence.
Root cause –Issue with the extrusion process. It only effected a very small segment, so it was deemed unnecessary to inform our supplier (Gong Fa). The issue has been recorded in case it re-occurs and we need to take action in the future.
