Source of issue –Bendpro Supplied only 50% of Clamp order.
Description –
21MAY19: LS requested quote for 366 pipe clamps according to the our customer drawing drg N2253-1_MA_ST_1212.
03JUN19: LS also emailed marked up CAA drawings showing dimensions and quantities for complete clamp assemblies (not halves), backed up by email wording.
George from Bendpro misinterpreted these requirements.
13NOV19: Working on solution.
Immediate action –Bendpro are fabricating the other 50% so that we meet delivery deadline.
Root cause –Bendpro insufficient attention to detail in RFQ and subsequent documentation.
Corrective action –
13NOV19: Resolution yet to be determined.
02NOV20: CAA and Bendpro agreed to supply the correct no. of clamps at cost (no profit) to ensure customer happy. It was put down to a misinterpretation of wording and drawings.
