Source of issue –Supplier: Carters Transport
Description –
Carters Driver delivered 4 full bins to Orrcon and refused to collect the 12 empty bins. We need the empty bins so that we can continue to cast. Without the bins, production stopped for 2 days. The driver said he had no room for the empty bins.
Immediate action –As soon as Carters Transport management were aware of the issue, they got the bins to us very quickly.
Root cause –Driver not following instructions.
Corrective action –
Carters Transport management informed us that all drivers have again clearly been told to collect the empty bins every time they deliver the full bins. The driver in question had his employment terminated.
