Damaged Freight – Cordens

    Date – May 25, 2017
    Source of issue –McCoy Eng recieved damaged freight
    Description –

    Ross Lee from McCoy Engineering emailed JL photos of the delivered anodes (McCoy PO 10047, our Inv 40421). Refer to email/photos dated 24th of May 2017.
    The inserts were bent, due to some sort of impact in transit. The anodes were well packaged and had FRAGILE tape around the inserts.

    McCoy Engineering were able to straighten the damaged steel cores with an Oxy blowtorch.

    JL acknowledged the damage and forwarded the photos to Cordens Transport


    Immediate action –McCoy Eng undertook imediate action, by straightening with an Oxy.
    Root cause –Awaiting reply from Cordens.
    Corrective action –

    Awaiting reply from Cordens
    14JUN17: Still awaiting reply.
    11MAY18: No reply by Codens. Also no further issues with damaged freight.
